MY FIRST WORD LIBRARY · EMRE ŞAHİN
Terms of Use
Last updated: October 2, 2026
1. Service and content
My First Word Library is an educational app designed to help children aged 1–5 discover their first words. It offers narrated word cards, an island-by-island learning journey, a word hunt and other games, augmented reality (AR), speaking practice and a progress screen for parents. What is free and what is Premium is shown in the app and may change with updates. The app is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA); these terms supplement it.
2. Parents and supervision
The app is designed for young children; it should be set up by a parent or adult and used under supervision. Purchases, restoring purchases, links that leave the app and some settings are protected by a parental check. For extra peace of mind, you can use Apple’s Ask to Buy and Screen Time settings. Use the camera and AR features in a safe, uncluttered space with an adult nearby, and keep screen time appropriate for your child’s age.
3. Educational content, not expert advice
Word cards, narration and translations are prepared with care but may contain mistakes. Speaking practice and the progress screen are for general information and motivation; they are not a language, speech or developmental assessment or therapy. If you have concerns about your child’s speech or development, talk to a professional. You can report a content error to the support address.
4. Premium, family plan, free trial, renewal and refunds
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, available as an individual or family plan, billed monthly or yearly. Family plans can be shared with your family group through Apple Family Sharing. The price, duration and any free trial are shown on Apple’s purchase sheet before you buy. Eligible new subscribers may get a 7-day free trial on yearly plans; unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. You can restore purchases with the same Apple Account using Restore Purchases on the purchase screen. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies and applicable consumer law. Never send card details to the developer.
5. Use and rights
The content (words, narration, illustrations, games and design) is for your personal, non-commercial family use. Do not copy, resell, distribute or reverse-engineer the app or its content, or use it for unlawful purposes. The app and its content belong to the developer or its licensors.
6. Continuity, changes and liability
We may update, change or remove features. Updated terms are published with a new date; significant changes are announced separately where required. To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is”. These terms do not limit consumer rights or liabilities that cannot be excluded by law. For questions and disputes: mre.sahinn@gmail.com; your statutory remedies remain available.
